HARMAN SWITCH AZURE - A New Creative Film
HARMAN just released a new creative colour film, "SWITCH AZURE". This film renders blue as orange, yellow as azure, and red as hues of purple and blue. In this post, I'm sharing my first two rolls, captured on a sunny day in London.
DISCLAIMER | AD: HARMAN sent me two 35mm rolls of HARMAN SWITCH AZURE free of charge ahead of the release with no obligations.
I had the chance to give HARMAN SWITCH AZURE a try ahead of its release, so let’s have a look at my first two rolls. Both were captured on a lovely sunny Saturday in February 2026, which, as a side note, was probably the only sunny day we’ve seen that month here in London!

Before diving into the results, let's have a look how HARMAN describes their new creative colour film option.
HARMAN SWITCH AZURE is a fun, playful, creative film. You can expect your colours to ‘SWITCH’ rendering blues as orange, yellows as a vibrant azure and reds as hues of purple/blue.
SWITCH AZURE is a creative ISO 125 film, available in both 35mm and 120. The results may vary depending on the scanning method. The photos in this post are all scanned at home with a digital camera and converted in SmartConvert. With the basics out of the way, let's have a look at the results.
I also made a short YouTube video about my first two rolls if you are interested in that!
Let's have a look at the results! I've started taking some classic London photos, and it is really fun seeing those familiar scenes and the classic "London Red" all switched up. Also, it works surprisingly well under artificial light.

Almost feels like London but in an alternate universe...

Next, I've explored an estate to see how SWITCH AZURE handles those urban scenes with lots of concrete.

By far my favourite photos were those including lots of blue sky and clouds. I think these images work great and the bold orange / brown looks so good.

If you prefer red/orange tones you should check out HARMAN RED:

I've also made a YouTube video if you are interested in that. In this video, I also talk a bit more about my thoughts on HARMAN SWITCH AZURE and creative film in general.
Cheers,
