Getting out of a Creative Rut - A Day with a Fisheye Lens and Kentmere 400
Stuck in a creative rut this winter? I took on a challenge—shooting a whole day with a fisheye lens and black & white film in Shoreditch. Here’s how it reignited my inspiration!
The winter months can be though for us photographers. The days are short, the weather is awful, and there's nothing to take photos of. Even though this is not really true, it felt like this for me in January, and so I was in a creative rut.
To get out of this rut and find some new motivation to take photos, I decided to try something different -something challenging. I wanted to go out for a whole day with my Fisheye lens and some rolls of black & white film to take some street photos around Shoreditch.
Even though it was a very dull and cold Sunday, I suddenly felt super motivated to experiment with the Fisheye and see what kind of results I could get. I ended up shooting three rolls of Kentmere 400 (all at 800) that day, trying new perspectives and ideas with the fisheye.

There are many more ways to get out of a creative rut but experimenting with some less used gear and trying out new things always helps me!
