Exploring North Wales in March 2025 — Exploring Anglesey (02/05)
A photographic recap of our five days exploring North Wales in March 2025. In this part (02/05), we explore Anglesey and enjoy a beautiful sunset at Ynys Llanddwyn.
If you missed part one of this series, you can read it here.
On our second day in Wales, we started driving towards Anglesey after we had a lovely breakfast in our B&B. Our B&B in Betws-y-Coed is about a one-hour drive from Anglesey, which is an island off the north-west coast of Wales.
Our first planned stop was the town Beaumaris, where we walked along the seafront and around town.
The next stop was the beautiful Penmon Point, which is only s short drive from Beaumaris away. There's not only a beautiful lighthouse at the Penmon Point, but also a lovely café and restaurant. So, we took some nice photos and had some great food.
The next location we wanted to visit was Ynys Llanddwyn which is on the other side of the island. While driving there, we saw the Garth Pier in Bangor and decided to stop there for a quick walk and coffee before continuing.
We visited Ynys Llanddwyn twice already, but it was raining both times and I haven't had the chance to get the photos I've had in mind. So, I was incredibly happy about the weather this time. We wandered around there, and I've experimented with different spots, views and compositions.
With this beautiful sunset and some very nice shots, our second day in Wales came to an end.
Thanks for reading the second part of this series! In the next part, we will hike up Y Garn via Llyn Idwal. Stay tuned!
Cheers,
